We just got this for my son's halloween costume and it is a perfect size for him, the material is a heavy weight so it should help him stay warm. Just wanted to explain the size - my son is 54" tall and skinny and it fits him just right - if a child were a bit heavier it would probably still fit, but it would be tight if the child were a lot heavier or taller. It's very cute!

It's really good and cute but very warm
My son who is 8 wanted to dress as a black cat. this was the perfect costume. he loved it. it's not girly but still cute.
He is not very tall and he is slim. the costume fit him perfectly...it would have fit even he was taller but not very tall.
the material is all synthetic and the quality is good but it's really too warm for California. he wore it a little to show it off and then took it off.
I recommend this item fully!
