My elementary school child enjoyed wearing this costume for Halloween. We made a cardboard sword to complete the outfit, and he loved it. We cautioned him when he first put the costume on to be careful; the arms and hood are made with a plastic netting over black fabric. It is a clever way to make chainmail for the knight's shirt, but it catches on things fairly easily. The costume fit a little snug in the shoulders for a 8-10 size.
Better quality than expected
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this costume for my 6 year old son. From the price, I expected thin nylon material. The orange color in the photo was actually red, and it has a light-weight crushed velvet feel. The "chain mail" is gold netting over black material. The netting does catch and shred easily, but it worked great for halloween, and for when my son is pretending to be the High King Peter from Narnia. The foam boot covers are ok. Overall, it was better quality than expected and was worth it.
