This set is just great -- my grandson loved it from the moment he opened it just about 1 month ago. Playing pretend is one of his favorite activities and he was over letting his big sister dress him up as a princess. I think that right now the pirate and the superhero are his favorites. The quality is exceptional -- well made, good materials, and easy velcro fastenings. The pirate hat is a bit shallow, but we glued a bandanna into it, and tied it -- he can take it off and on, and it has worked out fine. Well worth the price. I would recommend this set as a gift for any 2-5 year old who loves playing pretend.
Great for play dates and Halloween
My three boys love them. Over the last six months, I would say at least twice a month, they bring them out to play something with them. Their friends use them a lot on play dates. Would buy again.
Outstanding Products
Normally, I don't write product reviews. But, last night my 4 year old grandson opened this for an early Christmas present. To say he was thrilled is an understatement. Other presents were left on the floor, and as quickly as he could, he was putting each costume on, and playing "Sir Kidlette the Swarthy Knight", "Super Hero" and "Peg Leg Pete".
The costumes are not made out of that cheap stuff, but out of a soft, yet strong and silky material that shines like silk or taffeta. The cape on the super hero costume flowed and billowed as our grandson ran around the house. The costumes have strong velcro fasteners which make putting on and taking off the costumes very easy. The colors are bright but rich, and trimmed in sparkled gold fabric.
The shields and swords are also nice, and don't leave bruises or dents in people or furniture if the child gets a bit carried away.
In the past, I've opened Halloween costume bags and I'd notice that the costumes...
