In all my years if ordering from amazon I have never been so disappointed in my back as I am today... When I received my product the hat was a little bent and the ribbon that was supposed to be around the hat was shredded and not even on the hat but was hanging but a lil thread and some glue ... This hat was definitely not worth the 9 bucks
Description as top hat is misleading
The quality of the hat seems reasonable for the price (although shipping is pricey), but I think the description as a top hat is very misleading. I was looking for a magician hat for my older daughter and in my opinion, "top hat" means that the sides of the hat should be straight up. Instead, this hat is a Western-style cowboy hat (except that it's black felt instead of brown). I'm very disappointed because there is no way that she can use this as a magician's top hat. Also, the shipping costs so much that it's not worth sending it back. It's a shame because Rubies makes another top hat that is perfect (bought it for my younger daughter), but it's too small for my eight-year-old, plus their other top hat costs almost $20 between the cost of the hat and shipping.
Just what we wanted...
I orderd this for my 5 year old son's birthday. He loves to play dress up. I really like the style and size of this hat. It is not a "real" super-sturdy hat, but it is much better than most play hats.
