Looks Good BUT .......
The Robert E. Lee costume looked good, just like it was suppose to. The sizing was also appropriate. We knew we would have to have the pants shortened. I am/was under the impression that this costume was made/constructed in the USA. The sewing
on this costume is/was NOT acceptable. Does NOT meet USA standards of worksmanship. Buttonholes coming unraveled, threads having to be knotted so they would not unravel. Costume worn twice. Washed once in washing machine and overall did wash well but also after washing, had to repair unraveled threads. The price paid was to much for the workmanship on this costume.
Great basic Confederate costume.
I bought this costume for a school presentation my son had. It was well made of sturdy material, but note that the pants and jacket are unhemmed. For the price I paid it was well worth it not to have to sew it all from scratch. I did replace the sash because it was too flimsy. That probably would have been enough, but I'm a perfectionist, so I added gold star button to the shoulder epulets and smaller gold stars to the collar. I also replaced the jacket buttons with more official looking military buttons.
Wonderful costume, great value.
We were pleased with the quality, look and feel of this costume. Held up well.
