This costume is great, I bough an boys xl for my 11 year son for halloween and his class book review the headless horsman, the head piece was a bit small so we had to let him wear it backwards for his first halloween contest and what do you know he won... so I would recommend this costume for all who is looking for a winning :)
It's cool...fun...but the headless part isn't great
Great costume, 8 year old son was very excited for it. Bought the size larger as recommended on the reviews I read, good call! It was a little snug around the neck. My biggest complaint is the "head/neck" piece. It is a pretty thick plastic and wasn't really molded very "round" so we tried to stretch/adjust it, but never got the dents out - therefore it wasn't very comfortable for him to wear.
Overall it got a lot of great compliments and I'd probably buy it again even knowing what I do.
Fun costume for kids, but some fastener issues
Bought this costume for my son, who loved wearing it. Sizing was good. Fairly thin material (as most of these cheaper costumes are), so you'll need to layer underneath it in chilly weather. The band at the top that secured the neck-piece didn't stay fastened; had to refasten it several times before we were able to get it to stay fastened, and tape would definitely help with that. My son said it wasn't too hard to see out of the costume, and the eye-holes weren't too obvious -- i.e., he freaked out a handful of kids through the course of the evening's trick-or-treating (which he loved).
